CDPC specialists publishes “Statistical Yearbook of Healthcare in Latvia 2017”

 

Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (CDPC) healthcare specialists publishes “Statistical Yearbook of Healthcare in Latvia 2017”, which is the most extensive public health and healthcare overview made annually by the CDPC specialists by collecting significant data. The yearbook is a source of information for professionals and policy makers in the health sector. We have maintained data continuity, so that the information is comparable with previous years. 

 

In the yearbook there is information about public health and morbidity, healthcare resources, emergency, outpatient, and hospital services, maternal and infant healthcare, health of children and adolescents, and population mortality. In the yearbook you will also be able to find a glossary, information on data sources and calculation methods for individual indicators.

The Yearbook is the most abundant review of public health and health care which is gathered by the specialists of CDPC in collaboration with the health care professionals.

Centre for Disease Prevention and Control of Latvia welcomes everyone to get an insight into Statistical Yearbook of Healthcare in Latvia 2014 that presents most recent data in the field of healthcare.

 

This edition provides abundant information on public health, birth-rate, mortality as well as many other health-related statistical indicators. It should be emphasized that overall mortality rates continue decreasing, including infant mortality; the number of hospital patients is reducing and the number of births continued to rise in Latvia.

As every autumn, also this year we offer you the annual edition of the Statistical Yearbook of Health Care in Latvia compiled by the Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. This year we have released already the 15th edition of the Statistical Yearbook of Health Care in Latvia in which you will find extensive information on health care and public health in 2013.

We would like to remind you that the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia has performed population recalculation for the period from 2001 to 2011 according to Population Census. Therefore, also the yearbook includes recalculated indicators for the period from 2001 to 2011. Please note that these indicators differ from the previously published data.
